The Church of Saint John at Kaneo is a beautiful church located in a small fishing village in Ohrid. It stands on a cliff overlooking Lake Ohrid. It was built in honor of Saint John the Theologian. It is built with Byzantine and Armenian architectural style. Ohrid is in Southwest Macedonia.
Meckin Kamen is a monument located in Krusevo, Macdonia. It is a statue of a man holding a big rock over his head. It represents the battle fought on Meckin Kamen (or Bears Rock) in defense of Krusevo against the Ottoman army during the Ilinden uprise. During the battle of Meckin Kamen, many lives were lost, including the legendary leader Pitu Guli. This monument is very important to Macedonia's culture and history. Krusevo is located in Western Macedonia.
